Volunteers and Fundraising
The Richmond Music School Society under the direction of a Board of Directors operates the Music School. The day-to-day responsibilities are those of the Principal, a full time Administrative Assistant and a part-time Bookkeeper. Volunteers are also an integral part of the school function. Volunteers host concerts, receptions, the Open House and other special events, and serve on committees. They also lend their talents to fund-raising which, together with government and corporate grants, helps keep tuition fees as low as possible. It is the work of the parent volunteers in all these facets that keeps the Richmond Music School such an exciting place.
Volunteer forms are available in the school office.
The Richmond Music School is a founding member of the British Columbia Association of Community Music Schools, a member of the Canadian Music Council, and Richmond Gateway Theatre, the Community Arts Council of Richmond and an affiliated organization with the Community Services Department of Richmond.
