RMS Welcomes New Principal

Dear Parents, Students and Teachers,

After an extensive search, interviews and careful selection by the board of committee, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Karrie Tam as the new Principal at the Richmond Music School, effective immediately.

Principal Tam brings more than 30 years of experience in music education and business management. She graduated with a Bachelor in Psychology from UBC, and attained a Master degree in Music Education from the Education University of Hong Kong. She also attained the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) diploma from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and the Associate of Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT) diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), both in piano performance.

Principal Tam is a long-term adjudicator and the co-founder of the Hong Kong Students Open Music Competition; and has a deep understanding in the music industry with running her own music studio and classical artist agency in Hong Kong.

The Board believes that, in appointing Ms. Karrie Tam as our next Principal, we have found the best qualified person to lead our school. Please join us in welcoming Principal Tam to our family at Richmond Music School.
