VSO School of Music Mini Music Makers is now available at
Richmond Music School!
Our Mini Music Makers classes are taught by highly experienced and qualified Early Childhood music instructors and musicians, using a bespoke approach which takes the best of Kodaly, Dalcroze, Orff and Colourstrings Kindergarten methodologies. Full of singing, moving, playing and learning, the classes are progressive in nature, guiding your child through the foundations of music learning in a fun and highly interactive class.
During classes, children will be using instruments, props and toys. These will be provided, but if you prefer, you can bring the following items from home:
* something to shake * something to tap * something to wave * something to cuddle
For children walking confidently, born in 2020 /2021, with parent / carer
With new and familiar songs, exciting movement, and body percussion engage with your child as they develop their musical skills through singing, playing, and moving!
Support your child as they explore and engage with music! Through song, movement, and play, children will build their independence and understanding of steady beat, contrasting styles, and the foundations of rhythm.
Mini Music Makers: Preschoolers
For children born in 2018/2019, with parent / carer
Through independent participation in this class, children will explore and create own rhythm and melodies, beat-keeping, while developing their own singing voices and creative expression, identify melodic contrasts, and develop confidence in their musical self. Building social skills and connections will occur while singing, dancing, and playing new instruments together! Exploring instruments, body percussion, and rhythmic dance together will foster meaningful social connections and leadership skills.

Preschoolers (age 3-5yrs): Thursdays, 1:00-1:45pm
Toddlers (age 1-3yrs): Thursdays, 2:00-2:45pm
Parents/guardian participation is required for both age groups.
Siblings up to the age of 6 yrs are welcome to attend alongside the registered participant.
