Dear all students, faculty, parents, and staff,
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Richmond Music School (RMS) requires all students, faculty, parents and staff prior to entering the building to complete a self-declaration of health on the BC Centre for Disease Control. Please use the self-assessment tool. Please do NOT enter the RMS building if you answer “yes” to any of the questions.
You may access the self-assessment tool here.
The school is implementing prevention protocols in the building as well, and please see the new protocols below.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping the community to stop the spread of COVID-19.
COVID-19 PREVENTION PROTOCOLS IN ALL RMS MUSIC STUDIOS
All individuals entering a music studio/classroom MUST WEAR a mask.
No Mask = No Lesson, No Teaching
Teachers are encouraged to wear a mask and face shield during lessons.
No parents are allowed entry into the music studio/classroom. Parents with young students under 10 years old should ONLY drop off and pick up at the studio's entrance. Parents with students who are above 10 years old are encouraged to wait outside the building.
Students, prior entering the studio, must wash hands in the student washroom. Upon entering the studio, students should also use hand-sanitizer provided in the room.
Students must ensure that their teacher has logged the time of lesson, name of student, and health declaration checked.
Students and teachers must maintain a social distance of 6 feet at all times.
After the lesson is finished, please use hand-sanitizer to disinfect your hands, and make sure you gather all your belongings, including garbage (tissues, mask, wipes) and throw them away in the big garbage bin near the main entrance of the Richmond Alliance Church.
