This curriculum is intended to foster the early child's innate musical abilities to their fullest potential. It includes rhythm, singing, listening, and relating these to musical notes.


As a child becomes ready to play the violin, this foundation in musical interaction continues. It's important to start violin lessons with proper postures and a natural bow hold. The course is designed to ensure everyone also has fun while learning. Violin is available for borrowing for each registered student.

The classes will be 30 minutes long and held weekly as group lessons. Students will be introduced to the violin, posture, bow hold, and open strings.

  • Students of Level 1 KS will not be required to bring home the violin for practice.

Fee*^: $138.00  (per session) 

^Students who need to borrow a violin for the duration of the program to take home for practice (subject to availability and approval by the teacher) will pay a $20 admin fee and will be required to put $150 as a loan damage deposit by E-transfer. Upon returning the violin with no damage, the deposit will be fully refunded. 

*Note: An annual membership charge of $50.00 per household applies beginning July 1 each year. Memberships registered after January 1 are prorated to $25.00. Summer session registration fees are prorated to $15.00. This membership is required prior to registration and before any lessons begin. Annual membership is effective from July 1 to June 30 for each academic year.
