Orchestra Conductor on Stage

Chamber Ensemble Program

Next RMS Chamber Ensemble Program will begin in September. We will have various small ensemble groups for Intermediate, and Senior Levels

We also have a new program that is in collaboration with CITY OF RICHMOND. (see below)

This is a great experience for string players seeking a collaborative experience. The participants will remain in their ensembles throughout the year, and prepare for performance opportunities as well as competitions.

We invite all interested RMS students and new violin, viola, wind, and cello students to join from RCM Grade 5/ABRSM grade 4  and up.

This program will be directed by our strings faculty. This is an especially good time to join this program as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, playing collaboratively in a smaller group will be easier to maintain social distance. Learning chamber music develops confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills while mastering every essential musical skill: pitch, rhythm, and tone.  These skills can be applied to a student's solo and symphonic performances, making them a much stronger musician overall.
