Bursary Application

Richmond Music School is pleased to announce the relaunch of our Bursary Applications.

Award amount per academic year

up to $500 per student (based on 2 terms' tuition needs)

Eligibility

• Ages 6–18 for grade exams preparation
• Any age for music therapy

 

Use of Funds

Tuition reduction only. No cash value.

 

Exclusions

Cannot be applied to membership fees, registration fees, or instrument rentals

 

Application Intake

April 1 to May 30, 2026 : Application opens

Bursary decisions will be announced in July for Sept Classes

 

Oct 1 to Nov 30, 2026: Application opens

Bursary decisions will be announced in Dec for Jan Classes

All applicants must submit the following:

 Copy of CRA Notice of Assessment Completed application form (2 pages)

Separate application for each discipline (i.e. voice, piano, etc.)

 

Notification:  Results will be sent through an official email.  

 

Payment:  Bursaries are applied to tuition costs for lessons at Richmond Music School.  Withdrawal will result in the loss of funding. Students must register within 30 days of receiving the reward. Unclaimed Bursaries will be awarded to another student.

All application forms and financial information will be held in strict confidence.  Bursaries are based on available funding and applicant need.  Bursary amounts may change based on available funding. All decisions are final by Richmond Music School Society.
