We are delighted to welcome and introduce our Board of Directors for 2020-2021.
GINNA NG, President
Ginna has joined the RMS Board in 2008 and has served as the President since late 2018. An alumna of RMS, she attained the ARCT, LTCL, and LRSM diplomas in piano performance. Ginna works as the Vice President – Finance at a Vancouver-based private equity and has extensive experience in growth, strategy, and financial planning for companies of all sizes. She is a professional accountant (CPA, CGA) with a diversified background in Electrical Engineering, Forensic Accounting, and Business Law.
ANNIE LEUNG, Vice President
Annie is with the RMS Board since 2008 and has served in different capacity in the Board prior to being reappointed as the Vice President. As a parent of a RMS alumnus, she is a long-term supporter of the School’s events and concerts. In her professional role, Annie is a seasoned program administrator at a community based social service agency and has many years of experience in the non-profit sector. She brings to the school her strong connection with the local charities in the Lower Mainland.
JUANNA CHAN, Treasurer
Juanna serves as the Treasurer and member of the RMS Board since 2018. Previously worked as the Tax Manager at a Big Four accounting firm and later on as the Financial Controller for an online business, she is now running her own accounting practice that provides accounting and tax services to individuals and businesses. Juanna is an active volunteer at various local charities and holds a professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA).
KATHY CHEN, Secretary
Kathy joined the RMS Board in 2020 and has recently been elected as its Secretary. She has a wide array of experience in marketing and business strategy, occupying senior management positions in a number of companies in the service industry. She is currently the Director for Marketing and Communications of a global company engaged in the travel business. She has an undergraduate degree in Management, a master’s degree in Business Administration, and is currently working towards a master’s degree in Marketing.
GALLANT MA, Director
Gallant joined the RMS Board this year and is a professional accountant (CPA, CA) with comprehensive experience in both public practice and industry. He is currently the Regional Director of Finance at the largest automobile group in Canada and has solid leadership experience in change management, corporate finance, and accounting transitions. Gallant is an enthusiast in classical music and has passed several grade exams under the ABRSM syllabus. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA.
MANSOUREH MIZAESMAEILI, Director
Mansoureh has joined the RMS Board since 2016. Previously an author in her home country, Mansoureh switches her focus to her family after moving to Canada. As the parent of a RMS student, she is a true believer in the accessibility of quality music education to all children. Prior to joining the Board, Mansoureh has been an active volunteer at the School and her role as a RMS parent brings the Board closer to the RMS community in achieving the School’s vision and mission.
ALAN SAW, Director
Alan is a newly appointed RMS Board member and brings to the School years of management experience at a number of local technology companies. He has lead technology team in Software Development, Project Management and IT, and has worked extensively with executives and strategic key stakeholders. Alan is a father of three and is a strong advocate for music education. He has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Management of Technology.
