TTPP+ (Ages 4 – 6)

TTPP+ is the next step after our Tiny Tots Piano Program.

 

Designed for young children who are ready to develop stronger foundational music and piano skills, this small-group class combines basic piano playing with creative, Dalcroze-inspired music and movement activities.

​

Students will learn on full-size, 88-key digital pianos with weighted, touch-sensitive keys. Through age-appropriate and game-like exercises, they will develop introductory skills in note reading, rhythm and counting, dynamics, keyboard awareness, and basic piano technique.

A unique part of TTPP+ is learning to experience and embody music through movement.

​

Through these experiences, children naturally develop over the course^: 

​

• a sense of beat and rhythm through movement

• listening skills and awareness of pitch

• early note-reading skills

• an understanding of dynamics and musical expression

• keyboard awareness and familiarity with the full range of the piano

• creativity, confidence, and self-expression through music and movement

• musical imagination through singing, listening, and imaginative activities

• the ability to apply musical concepts at the piano

TTPP+ is suitable for students ages 4 to 6 who have completed at least three terms of TTPP. Students who have not previously attended TTPP must be at least 5.5 years old.

​

TTPP+ Students are encourage move on to private piano lessons upon completion

of three terms. 

​

Please note:

Students under age 5.5, registration into TTPP+  is subject to recommendation of TTPP instructor. 

 

^The progress and pace of learning are unique for each student. The concepts

and content will be covered over one academic year, NOT in 8 weeks.
